Regular readers will know by now that I think probably the biggest global trend of the next decade or so is the retooling and reshaping of the food chain. A whole bunch of new processes at work, coalescing around Agtech, alternative proteins, synthetic biology, and the digitization of the food ecosystem. In my view, this is even bigger than fintech and the current wave of digitization as it has the potential to impact countless billions and improve health outcomes. But navigating around these big themes is a tricky subject, which is why next week I am launching my new blog www.futurefoodfinance.com.

In the meantime, if you are interested in the investment implications of this revolution in food, then sign up to attend my latest event. At the very end of March – March 30th at 2 pm to be precise – I’ll be co-hosting our first joint event strategic advisory firm Maitland/amo.

The Future Food Forum will feature some of the key investors in this space. More details on speakers will follow but so far they include:

  • Jim Mellon, Agronomics founder and author of Moo’s Law
  • Bruce Friedrich, The Good Food Institute
  • Anne Le Borgne, CPR Asset Management
  • Stuart Forbes, Rize ETF
  • Seedrs
  • And many more to follow in the next few weeks including Nutreco and Aerofarms
